Settolo Basso is an wonderful hiking trail for those who love nature and outdoor activity. The route is 8.5km in total and begins in Bigolino (behind the town church). After approximately 500 metres, the street merges with Via Col del Vento, which leads to the western entry of the Rive di San Pellegrino park.
Follow the trail through the park, cross several small bridges and keep to the left, until you reach a bird-watching area, then turn onto the path to the right. Follow this gravel path and, after having passed the rest area, take the trail #1021, which leads to a small stream, formed by one of the many karst springs in the area. The itinerary then leads to a wide verdant clearing, after which walkers arrive at the Piave river.
This point represents the halfway mark of the Settolo Basso trail. From here, follow the small gravel path running parallel to the Piave river which leads to a second rest area. At this point, the trail leads back to Bigolino after winding around the foot of the Croda della Monica.
